Named 2014 Americana Vocal Group of the Year by the Appalachian Cultural Music Association, the trio couples a modern sensibility with distinctly old-time energy to blend bluegrass, gospel and folk elements. Combine your most beloved musical memories with a foot-stomping string band and top it off with harmonies that spring straight from the soul of the mountains, and you’ve got After Jack. Emily, Mary and Rachel met while working as performers in a professional theatre company. In forming the band, they realized they were merging three unique musical perspectives. Though often labeled “Americana,” their sound, ability to reach the heart of an audience, and the incredible joy that they bring to the stage cannot be adequately captured by one word. After Jack’s first full-length album, released on Travianna Records, was produced by Aaron Ramsey of Mountain Heart, and is already receiving international airplay. The album’s title, Echo, is a notion that describes the band’s songwriting – a collection of stories to be shared and experiences that can only be lived. It’s also an invitation, to all who encounter it, to share those moments. With an ambitious touring schedule, the trio can be heard at major festivals and venues all along the East Coast. _______________________________________________________ FOX and the BEAR Fox and the Bear, is a unique indie alternative folk sister duo. Virginia Beach, Virginia is where they call home, and where their song writing and music making originates. The multi-instrumentalist sisters have a contagious authenticity that is woven in the ethereal harmonies, and resonating stories of their music, while creating depth and substance with their cocktail of instruments - including a kick drum made from their great grandmother's suit case. The two of them unknowingly met and befriended their future producer, Jake Hull, at Trader Joe’s three years prior to the recording of their debut EP self title Fox and the Bear. It was released January of 2017, and the duo have been performing and touring since.
