We found the best way to celebrate the feminine-focused month of March with Timisoara Online Marketing Meetup, having again an international special guest, Zsuzsa Kecsmar, a fantastic woman entrepreneur and marketing professional!
Getting to success as a startup is most often a far from linear process. When back in 2012, the Szeged-born Antavo (http://antavo.com) pioneered the field of Facebook Timeline apps with a tool to help marketers launch promotional campaigns across multiple (but mainly FB) platforms, they have rapidly received the attention and the 50 kEUR investment from the famous, London-based, Seedcamp accelerator.
Moving to UK was a glamourous promise but relatively soon the changing platform policies by Facebook proved almost fatal. Getting back to Hungary was the only rational move as was the need for a massive product pivot that came with unavoidable client churn, up to getting to serve a single big client. After almost closing business over-depending of this single client, Antavo came to the next, winning, pivot.
Now, Antavo is a company developing a customer retention SaaS for fashion and retail industries doubling team and tripling revenues year-on-year in 2017.
