Toastmasters Clubs of Western Virginia is a collection of community clubs in Division A of Toastmasters District 66. The clubs support cities and surrounding counties on both side of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This includes the cities and towns of Blacksburg, Charlottesville, Crozet, Daleville, Danville, Fieldale, Forest, Harrisonburg, Lynchburg, Roanoke, Rocky Mount, Salem, and Staunton.
Toastmasters Clubs of Western Virginia follow and uphold Toastmasters International's mission and programs. Toastmasters is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending and participating in one or more of the clubs. By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program.
Every Toastmasters journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback—and accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership.
The Missions of Toastmasters: We empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence. We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
Come join one of our meetings to experience the excitement for yourself.

For anyone in the Blacksburg area, a new lunchtime Toastmasters group is forming at the CRC! Toastmasters is a great organization for anyone interested in improving their communication and leadership skills. Kara B. says, "I've been a member for seven years, and still love it!"
The club meets on Thursdays from 12:00–1:00 in the Garvin Room (1872 Pratt Drive, Suite 1050), and it’s shaping up to be a great club. Check them out!
We meet every Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church, Room 207, Harrisonburg, VA.
If you are planning to visit, you will want to make plans to be there by 6:15. You will need to leave time to walk into the building and get situated before the meeting starts ... the gavel comes down at 6:30.
