What is Saturday Toastmasters of Arlington?

Are you looking to improve your public speaking or leadership skills? You've come to the right place! Whether it's to get more comfortable in front of a room, become more successful in your career or preparing for a wedding speech, Saturday Toastmasters of Arlington is the perfect place for you.

Toastmasters is an internationally recognized public speaking and leadership group. Saturday Toastmasters of Arlington is one of the chapters (the best :)) and we meet 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month.

On the 2nd Saturday of each month we meet ONLINE via Zoom, and on the 4th Saturday we meet IN PERSON at the Robbins Library in Arlington, MA. All meetings are from 9:30 - 11:00 am unless otherwise noted.

What to expect?

Our Saturdays meetings are a low-pressure way of stepping out of your comfort zone and improving your public speaking and leadership skills. Everyone in Saturday Toastmasters of Arlington are extremely supportive and we host a comfortable environment for you to grow. During the meeting you can expect listening to prepared speeches from members, listen to evaluations of those speeches (grammar, um/ah counter, timer), and listen/participate in impromptu speeches during a section we call table topics. Participation in impromptu speeches is not required but we encourage guests to take a shot if they are up for it :).

Does it cost money?

Newcomers can attend a few meetings for free to see what we are all about and get comfortable. Members pay a semi-annual fee to be part of Saturday Toastmasters of Arlington.

What to do next?

Just show up and we will help you from there! Each meeting is really fun and a great way to learn new things about being a better speaker and leader. We hope to see you at an upcoming meeting soon!

So please join us ONLINE every 2nd Saturday of each month and IN PERSON at the ROBBINS LIBRARY on every 4th Saturday. (In November and December we may meet on the 3rd Saturday instead of the 4th.)

Not only does our club provides a supportive learning environment, we encourage our members to take action and allow everyone to have a chance to speak at the meeting. This is to help our members to step out of their comfort zone to take actions to reach their full potentials. Each time you give a prepared speech, an evaluator will point out strengths and suggest improvements. If you think you’re stuck on any assignments the members are always there and ready to help. JP Toastmasters is a group of friendly neighbors helping each other grow and develop as leaders and communicators.

We meet in hybrid mode, alternating between in-person and online meetings.

On the 2nd Monday of every month, We meet in person at Roslindale Community Center, 6 Cummins Hwy, Roslindale, MA 02131.
