What we’re about
Everything in Toastmasters revolves around CONFIDENCE. Members practice public speaking and leadership skills to find their voice and develop into more confident and competent speakers and leaders.
Across New Zealand, there are almost 300 clubs so you are likely to find one near you! Clubs average 15-25 members and usually meet weekly or fortnightly for 1 - 2 hours.
Each club has a unique culture. There's no pressure to join the first club you visit! Attending club meetings as a guest is free. Visit as many as you like until you find a club that suits you. Guests may visit a club up to three times before required to join.
The education program in Toastmasters is called Pathways. It is a multi-language online learning tool allowing you to practice over 300 workplace skills. Here's a sneak peek of the Icebreaker, the first project members do once they join - www.toastmasters.org/pathways-overview/ice-breaker
If you decide to join, a fellow member will be there to answer any questions you have and help guide you on your Toastmasters journey of personal and professional growth.
Come along and meet up with some of our members and be our guest at the next meeting.
