We are Division C Toastmasters Clubs and Toastmasters Members in McLean, Vienna, and Tyson's Corner.
District 29 is the growing, vibrant home of over 140 Toastmasters clubs and more than 2,500 members. Our District spans west of the Capital Beltway, from Leesburg to the north, to Front Royal in the west, to Fredericksburg in the south. Each of our clubs provides opportunities for personal development and success to our members as they work to achieve communication and leadership goals in safe, collaborative, and fun environments.
Welcome! We are the Hunter Mill Toastmasters and we invite you to join us at 6:45 p.m. on second and fourth Thursdays each month.
Our mission as a club is to provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
At our meetings, we offer opportunities to network, speak publicly, and improve communication and leadership skills. Club members present prepared speeches. Both members and visitors are invited (but not compelled!) to join in Table Topics: an opportunity to practice impromptu speaking.
We generally meet at the Oakton Library. The location may change based on availability of a room at the library, though, so sometimes we meet at Patrick Henry Library (Vienna), Thomas Jefferson Library (Falls Church), or the Fairfax Regional Library (Fairfax). Check these Meetup pages to see where the next meeting will be held.
New members and guests are ALWAYS welcome! We're all there for the purpose of getting better at public speaking. Join us!
For more information, click on the PAGES tab. You can also email our Vice President for Public Relations at [masked]. We hope to see you at our next meeting!
We are a specialty club that is dedicated towards empowering members to become Advanced speakers and leaders. Hence the name TBA (Toastmasters Becoming Advanced).
Guests are always welcome. We meet on the second and fourth Fridays of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
Until further notice, we will be conducting virtual meetings.
Email contact[masked]@toastmastersclubs.org for connection instructions.
Once the public health situation we are all experiencing is mitigated, we will revert to our normal meetings at the Providence District Community Center (Fairfax)
We strive to hold the meeting to a 1.5 hour format, but socializing in advance is encouraged.
