Let's Enjoy Hanami today!

As we have planned, Hanami is to be held as scheduled.

It may be raining in the east or south of Tokyo now but from the west side it has stopped gradually and in Kichijoji（where our hanami event site locates）it's NOT raining anymore. Besides, according to the weather forecast,it won't be rainy during our hanami time.

※Call us if you get lost, however, we might not be able to answer your call since we are expecting to be busy operating the event.

●We would like you to bring at least one dish(worth more than 500 yen)since this is a put luck party to enjoy hanami with drinks and meals(our traditional style!

※We will prepare lots of rice balls, retro Japanese, Taiwanese and Singaporean confectionary for everyone so we encourage you to bring side dishes to go with them instead of bringing rice or bread.

●We would like you to bring the following items:

※Plastic(waterproof) sheets
We encourage you to bring waterproof sheets since we expect our sheets to be wet after exposing them on the ground all night while we are saving our spot because of the morning mist in the park.
We recommend aluminum sheets you can purchase at 100 yen shop as follows. They keep you warm!

●We will offer the following:

Paper cups and plates.Chopsticks.Yaotome(Japanese sake. We have 3 bottles of it and they will served on first-come-first-serve basis.We believe we have enough of it for 100 people at least.)Rice balls,Retro confectionary from Taiwan, Singapore and Japan.

Hanami party will be held in the serene Inokashira Park,
located in Kichijoji (ranked No. 1 among Japanese people as the city they would most like to live in.)Come join us for this traditional Japanese spring time event with an international flavor!

●Potluck
The party will be hosted in potouck style,which is our tradition in hanami parties so we would like everyone to bring at least one daily dish to share.We are also going to prepare rice balls,fried chicken or such light meals including Yaotome sake(八乙女) ,precious and rare Japanese sake that is usually only available in Akita prefecture for 100 people!

●International Language Exchange and Networking
If it is the first time for you to join out event, don't worry because our event is very casual and everyone can enjoy mingling with other guests as well as language exchanges using English,Japanese and Chinese.We are going to sepearate guests into groups of each language and shuffle once in a while.Don't worry if you are not confident in English because many of our guests from other countries are good at Japanese.

●Ukulele Karaoke
We take song requests from you and we play along with kulele!

● Event Details
Event Details Date: April 8, 2017 (Sat)
Time: 12:00
Location: Inokashira Park, 5 minutes walk from Kichijoji Station on the JR or Inokashira Line.
※ Specific details of location will be uploaded to the Event Wall as they are decided.
※ OK to join and leave mid-event.(no discount will be applied)

●Participation Fee：1000yen
250 yen discount will be applied if you make reservation before 3/12 or you are international students.You will also get 250 yen discount if you follow our facebook pages below.

Example:If you like our community pages on facebook and make the reservation before the above date,the fee will be 500yen for general participants and 250 yen for international students

《What is included in the participation fee》
・Light meals(rice balls and such)
※Some of the revenue will be used for accomodations of
volunteer staff members to save the party spot in the park and the rest will be used for purchasing the light meals.We won't have sufficient food supply for everyone so please be sure to bring your own food and drinks.

We would appreciate if you bring your own plastic sheets.
It could be unexpectedly cold even the weather would be fine on the party day so be sure to dress warm enough for the cold.
We recommend you bring something hot to drink in thermos to keep your warm.Hot tea, Tawainese and green tea also will be served.

・We will cancel the party in the event of bad weather and
host a language exchange gathering at the usual place.We will let you know on the event page in such case.
