メニューをクリックしたり、コードを書いたりせずに、会話だけで WordPress サイトを管理できたら？今回のミートアップでは、それを実際に体験します。
AI アシスタント（Claude Desktop）をローカルの WordPress サイトに接続して、普通の言葉で指示を出します。有効なプラグインを確認する。エラーログをチェックする。下書き投稿を作成する。すべて会話で行います。
この仕組みを支える技術は MCP（Model Context Protocol）と呼ばれるオープン標準で、AI ツールが WordPress などの外部サービスと連携できるようにするものです。WordPress の新しいビルディングブロックである MCP Adapter と Abilities API を使って接続を実現します。

当日やること：
ローカルの WordPress サイトに3つのプラグインをインストールし、設定ファイルで Claude Desktop を接続して、自然言語でサイトを操作します。ダッシュボードは不要です。

タイムライン：

参加対象：
WordPress の AI 活用に興味があるサイトビルダー、管理者、デベロッパー。MCP の経験は不要です。本イベントは英語でのサポートも提供します。

参加前にご準備ください（所要時間：約20〜30分）：

• Node.js 22 以上をインストール
• Claude Desktop をインストールし、無料の Claude.ai アカウントを作成
• ローカル WordPress 環境を用意 — MAMP、Studio by WordPress.com、DevKinsta のいずれかが使えます。WordPress Playground はこのアクティビティでは使用できません。

Managing Your WordPress Site with AI — Hands-On Session
Imagine managing your WordPress site just by having a conversation — no clicking through menus, no writing code. That's what we're doing at this meetup.
You'll connect an AI assistant (Claude Desktop) to a local WordPress site and give it real tasks using plain English. Ask it what plugins are running. Check the error log. Create a draft post. Watch it happen.
The technology behind this is called MCP (Model Context Protocol). It's an open standard that lets AI tools connect to external services — like WordPress. We'll use two new WordPress building blocks, the MCP Adapter and the Abilities API, to make that connection work.

What you'll do:
Install three plugins on a local WordPress site, connect Claude Desktop with a few config steps, then manage your site through natural language. No dashboard required.

Who should come:
Site builders, admins, and developers who are curious about where WordPress is heading with AI. No MCP experience needed.

Please do this before you arrive (about 20–30 minutes):

• Install Node.js 22 or newer
• Install Claude Desktop and create a free Claude.ai account
• Set up a local WordPress environment — MAMP, Studio by WordPress.com, or DevKinsta all work. WordPress Playground will not work for this activity.
