Tools Of Titans MeetUp #10: Cryptocurrency & 2017 Reflection/2018 Planning

• What we'll do
Cryptocurrencies are a hot topic and there has been some great discussion in the ToT Facebook group as of late. This meeting will begin with a presentation about the cryptocurrency landscape from Mr. Paul McNeal, then transition to discussions groups about reflection on 2017 and goals for 2018. It will be a full night and the library requires us to wrap-up at 8:30. There are plenty of local spots to continue the conversations if desired.

Cryptocurrencies include a broad range of topics and it will be helpful for Mr. McNeal to receive some direction as to where he should focus his presentation. Speaker Bio:
Mr. Paul McNeal, is a Connector, Speaker, Brand Evangelist, and Technologist at The Sturgeon Group, LLC. Paul has been tracking the Bitcoin phenomenon since 2011. He has amassed a great deal of knowledge and keeps his finger on the pulse of this industry by
curating information daily through The Crypto Curator FB group. He aims to create awareness of this technology with everyday people and organizations. His network spans thousands of top-notch folks in the Blockchain space: programmers/developers, thought leaders, startups, investors, and reporters.

Spent the earlier part of his career serving in the United States Navy Submarine Force working in communications. After 10 years serving his country, he held leadership positions at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) overseeing the global wireless device program.

He currently resides in Northern Virginia and is the Vice Chair of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce Technology Coalition.
