Presentation Title:
Containers on AWS Part 2: ECS and EKS
Presentation Summary:
AWS offers various ways of running container workloads in the cloud. In this presentation we will be looking closer at ECS and EKS, the managed offerings by AWS. From a base scenario we will cover how it could be done with both services, comparing the different approaches of both technologies. The presentation will be technical, and a basic understanding of containers is desirable to better understand it. Be sure to go over the slides of the first presentation, linked in the first meetup page at https://www.meetup.com/Toronto-AWS-Users-United/events/251050966/ .
Presenter:
Fernando Battistella is a Solutions Architect in the Containers Practice at Onica - a leading AWS Premier Consulting and Managed Services Partner. In his role, Fernando works with clients who run container workloads in AWS from small companies to major global level content providers, mostly focused on the infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle administration of kubernetes clusters.
