AWS Cloud Development Kit - Infrastructure as Code (not YAML!)

Summary/Bio:
The AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) is a new open-source framework from AWS that enables developers to harness the full power of modern programming languages to define reusable cloud components and applications and provision them through AWS CloudFormation. It is an infrastructure modeling framework that allows you to define your cloud resources using an imperative programming interface.

In this session, we will discuss why AWS decided to build the AWS CDK; we will learn some of the high-level concepts; and we will do some live demos to demonstrate why we think the AWS CDK is going to be, as a developer, your best friend.
