Talk Summary:
One of the problems we hear about a lot in the extinction of different animal species. A major contributor to this issue is hunters and poachers. We’ve been struggling with this problem for ages, and still have thousands of animals dying every year. In my talk I’ll be explaining how we can use artificial Intelligence, more specifically R-CNNs to keep watch on different animal habitats, and detect proachers from miles away.

Speaker Bio:
Laiba Khan is a 15 year old AI developer and Genomics Enthusiast. She’s currently working on a start up with her co-founder, in which she’s working to create an algorithm to detect biomarkers in senescent cells to hopefully create better gene therapies for anti-aging. She also loves to explore different emerging technologies and learn how they can be used to improve quality of life for everyone.
