Hike Bruce Peninsula: Cape Chin to Tobermory

Celebrate Victoria Day and hike on Canada's oldest and longest marked footpath, Bruce Trail!
The hike will be led by Toronto Bruce Trail Club Hike Leader, Ron Granger (please RSVP the hike leader at ron.granger1@yahoo.com ). May 20: 23km, from km126.6 (map 40) to km104.6 (map 39)
May 21: 20km, from km145.2 (map 41) to km126.6 (map 41)
May 22: 20km, from km145.2 (map 42) to km165.1 (map 42)
You can join any or all of those three hikes. Please arrange carpool or/and accommodation by yourself if you need. There are a lots of B&B, AirB&B, campground, etc around Tobermory.
All three hikes are classified as:
Difficulty: Intermediate
Pace: Moderate
Terrain: Challenging, Variable
For hike on Saturday, May 20: Distance: 23 KM Meet at km104.6 - Map 39, (roadside parking where the Main trail follows Cape Chin North Rd, coordinates: 45.108700 -81.311953), then car shuttle to km126.6, Map 40, (BTC parking lot on Crane Lake Rd, coordinates: 45.190813 -81.419658) to hike back through Dyers Bay and pass by the Devil's Monument sea stack.
For hike on Sunday, May 21: Distance: 20 KM Meet at km126.6 - Map 41, (BTC parking lot on Crane Lake Rd, coordinates: 45.190813 -81.419658), then car shuttle to km145.2, Map 41, (Bruce Peninsula National Park at the Head of Trails, Cyprus Lake, coordinates: 45.236363 -81.522626 where a day use fee is charged) to hike back through Bruce Peninsula National Park, past Halfway Dump and High Dump to the Crane Lake Road parking lot.
For hike on Monday, May 22: Distance: 20 KM Meet at km165.1 - Map 42, (Tobermory Community Centre parking lot at the corner of Highway 6 and Head Street in Tobermory), then car shuttle to km145.2, Map 42, (Bruce Peninsula National Park at the Head of Trails, Cyprus Lake, coordinates: 45.236363 -81.522626 where a day use fee is charged) to hike back by Loon Lake, Driftwood Cove and Little Cove.
Carpool: DIY. If you need a ride or are willing to offer, please indicate your preferred pick up location and time in the comment section. Based on the approximate vehicle cost, it is suggested each passenger contributes $70 (1 driver + 1 or 2 passengers) to driver to share the cost. NO MORE THAN 2 PASSENGERS IN A CAR AS WE NEED TO PLAN CAR SHUTTLE.
The approximate vehicle cost = total km * $0.20 ($0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9).
Notes: Bring at least 2L water and lunch. Hiking boots. Sun screen. Bug spray or bug jacket. No Dogs. No drop out. This hike goes rain or shine. The hike will be joined by hikers from other groups/the public.
