Every month our morning coffee meeting in Roncy we will explore an aspect of cohousing, enjoy a coffee/tea and socialize. Please bring a note pad or tablet to take notes and your interest in cohousing. Recommended readings, surveys or other interesting resources to support the meet up may be sent out/posted to the Meetup in advance. The Meetup is $20 which covers the events costs including a coffee/tea/beverage, a muffin, any resources we are sharing that day as well as some great conversation. Thanks for joining us!

What we're about

This group is for anyone who would like to learn more about and get involved in adult (50+) and inter-generational cohousing in Toronto.

Do you value your privacy but still want a sense of belonging? Tired of the lack of connection and support in big city life? Want to live greener and leave less of a footprint on our planet? Looking for a place to grow old with people of like mind? Would you like to find a great place to raise kids, where they can play inside or out without a worry?

Join us to learn how Cohousing, an innovative concept from Denmark, beautifully and responsibly addresses the alienation of modern urban life - with a whole new way of living and being together in a beautiful, urban, 'eco-amazing', diverse and caring community!

Bring your curiosity and meet some of Toronto's Cohousing enthusiasts, people and families of all ages who are planning, laughing, collaborating, sharing meals (and the occasional beer or glass of wine) while we work together to co-create human friendly cohousing communities in Toronto. Beautiful places where we will soon live and thrive!

Is Cohousing right for you? Come and find out!

What is cohousing?

"Cohousing is an intentional community of private homes or apartments clustered around shared space. Each attached or single family home has traditional amenities, including a private kitchen. Shared spaces typically feature a common house, which may include a large kitchen and dining area, guest/caregiver suite(s), laundry, workshop and recreational spaces."

Joining requirements and privacy concerns:

To join this group, you will need to have or create a profile that includes a real picture of yourself and your first name. This is because this group is meant to help people actually meet others with similar interests, which is harder to do when you don't know someone's name and can't recognize them from a picture. Join requests that don't include this info will remain "pending" or be declined.

Privacy: This group is set to "private," which means that only other members can see your profile or any info about events and who's attending them.
