What we’re about
Toronto Gaymers is Toronto’s original LGBTQ social group for geeks and gamers of all stripes. The group started in 2007 from GayGamer.net’s discussion forums as a semi-annual gathering in downtown Toronto. The group has since evolved into a safe space for LGBTQ2IAA people and their allies to express their passion for geek and gaming culture, including board games, trading card games, PC and console games, cosplay, anime and more. Through our monthly social gaming events, we support local businesses and strengthen our community.

Drop-ins are welcome but a seat is not guaranteed.Every five weeks, a new short arc is launched. A five-week subscription is $45 (10% off) and guarantees your seat at the table.
Level 4 campaigns and we recommend that folx arrive at least 30 min early. This ensures the DMs see your sheet and can work with you to incoporate character backstories/important elements, or assist you in creating a brand new character made. Pre-generated characters are also available.
Notes: Facemasks must be worn. Nametags with a pronoun field are provided. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.
- Queer Board GaymesPenny's, Toronto, ON
This is an opportunity to meet up for some LGBTQ2IA-flavoured gaming and socializing—allies also welcome. Come for the gaming, socializing, and the drinks! :) Be sure to invite friends and such, too.
Although Jai, your amiable host, starts the event at 6pm, feel free to drop in when you are able! It’s nothing formal. We’ll be in the larger area towards the back.
You'll have access to a robust library of board games, and attendees are welcome to bring their own games. What’s more, there’s an opportunity to buy and sell board games near the water station. (TG is not responsible for this feature; patrons handle trade/deals themselves.)
There is no event fee. Instead we ask attendees to purchase beverages from the venue, Penny's Bar, conveniently located beside Lansdowne subway station at 1306 Bloor St. West. Of course, since they are offering us their space for free, please consider buying a drink if you can.
We provide nametag stickers with a pronoun field; we want this to be a comfortable environment for everyone, kindly respect people's listed or stated pronouns.
- If you are unsure of someone's pronouns, don't assume: Ask, Respect and Practice
- Definitely ask before taking pictures/videos
Alas Penny's is not accessible due to stairs, dim lighting, and loud noises. While external food is welcome, outside beverages are not permitted.
- Varie-TEA (V)Bampot House, Toronto, ON
Come join in the smorgasbord of geekery at Bampot located at 201 Harbord Street, just south of Bathurst subway station. Special mélange of karaoke and video games!
Event fee: $10 per person, includes a pot of (your choice of) tea. (This is a simple in-person ticket process; do not pay online!)
Venue capacity: ~70 people
Please note that the venue is not flat, that some stairs are required to access all areas. There is a fully accessible washroom adjoining the main area, however. Also, there will be loud sound in some areas, but there is an outdoor patio quiet area.
