Felipe & Katerina and The Toronto Kizomba Squad invite you to a great night of Kizomba and Urban-Kiz! Come join us in this special night and every last Saturday of the month! *** Special performances *** 1.The Ladies Toronto Kizomba Squad 2018! 2.The Toronto Kizomba Squad debuting their routine! Join Felipe & Katerina for a fun all-level lesson from 9:30 to 10:15 p.m. No partner or experience required. Felipe will be playing the hottest Kizomba, Zouk, and Tarraxinha music until 1 am. Cover: $10 includes lesson and party. *** Special Workshop*** If you have completed Kizomba level 2 and up, this workshop is for you! We will cover movements, smoothness, and technicality with exercises and a juicy pattern. KIZOMBA IS A BEAUTIFUL, SMOOTH ANS SENSUOUS ANGOLAN DANCE KNOWN FOR ITS PARTICULAR CONNECTION BETWEEN PARTNERS AND THE MUSIC. IT IS A DANCE OF TRUST, CONNECTION, AND FUN! Come learn or improve your Kizomba! Students will be introduced to the feeling of Kizomba, the posture, connection, leading and following techniques and will learn some leadable turn patterns. *No prior Kizomba experience required. While growing up in Chile he discovered salsa. After moving to Canada, Felipe continued to pursue his passion for dance by learning Latin hustle, Pachanga, Samba, Cha Cha and Bachata, becoming a champion of the Bachata amateur division at the 2013 Toronto Bachata Festival. In 2013 he fell in love with Kizomba and has been teaching, choreographing and performing it ever since. Felipe is the choreographer and director of The Toronto Kizomba Squad, his team has performed at the Canada Salsa Congress, Toronto Kizomba Festival, among many other important events. Felipe and his partner Katerina has been teaching successful local and international workshops, and they are known for their passion for kizomba, understanding of the roots, musicality, creativity, smoothness, and thoughtful partner connection.
