Applied Machine Intelligence in Banking

Join the host, Vik Pant (https://www.linkedin.com/in/vikpant), as he convenes a panel with machine learning practitioners from the banking sector to discuss the data science profession. Amir Feizpour (https://www.linkedin.com/in/amirfz/), Devashish Khatwani (https://www.linkedin.com/in/devashishkhatwani/), Sidita Zhabjaku (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sidita-zhabjaku-7ab34625/), and Suhail Shergill (https://www.linkedin.com/in/suhailshergill/) will discuss practical applications of machine learning at leading Canadian banks. Amir is an Enterprise Data Scientist in the Data and Analytics team at the Royal Bank of Canada. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in Physics in the the field of experimental quantum optics. Devashish is a Manager of Data Science at the Toronto Dominion Bank. He earned his M.B.A. from the Rotman School at the University of Toronto. Sidita is a Senior Manager of Strategic Analytics at BMO Financial Group. She earned a Masters of Science degree in the field of Statistics and Financial Modelling from the University of Western Ontario. Suhail is the Director of Data Science and Model Innovation at Scotiabank. He earned his M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. These panelists are key contributors to numerous data science initiatives at their respective banks.

These data science professionals are in a great position to discuss the application of AI to solve business problems in the banking world. The format of this conversation will be a free flowing and easy going discussion between the panelists. Panelists will discuss the types of problems that they solve with machine learning, the tools they use, the challenges they face, and data science jobs in their organizations. Attendees will get the opportunity to network with each other as well as with the host and the panelists. There will also be sufficient time for audience questions for the host and panelists.
