Everyday is a the right day to go up and explore Algonquin Park!

Our trips to ALGONQUIN PARK are always fantastic, with views of everything from Bears, Moose, Deer, Wolves and many very cool birds that you commonly will only find in Algonquin Park.

Algonquin Park is always a pleasure to visit and every visit is a new experience, so it's a great time to visit and we will have excellent opportunities for bird and wildlife sighting.

It will also be an opportunity to see one of the most iconic mammals in Canada! The Mighty Moose! We've had stellar looks at these mighty beasts this every year, plus a few bear sightings. So you never know.

We know the spots and can take you where others can't! It's going to be an amazing day!

Over our many years worth of trips to Algonquin Park, we think that late-fall/early winter is one of the best times to visit the park to view wildlife. It is an excellent time to view Moose. Seeing wildlife is all about place and time - and this tour was carefully crafted with our years of experience to put you in the right place at the right time!

We'll be leaving at 8 am from Toronto to make it into Algonquin Park by 11:00 am.

We will have lunch at the iconic Visitor Centre, enjoying the panoramic view of the park.

As the day progresses, wildlife becomes more active. We have had many incredible sightings of everything from Moose, Beaver, and River Otter, American Martens and we have even seen the elusive Eastern Wolf. We will cruise the road and visit the sites that we have found to be the most productive for wildlife.

Woodpeckers are also very active at this time of year, and we have a good chance at hearing and seeing the majestic and elusive Pileated Woodpecker - the largest woodpecker species north of Mexico and the Black-backed Woodpecker. Spruce Grouse are another great possibility as they have been showing themselves recently.

We will be taking 2 short hikes to the best areas to find the best bird and mammal viewing.

Our main target will be Algonquin's largest mammal - the Moose. Chances are we will have already seen a Moose on our travels through the park, but if we have not - we will drive the roads in search of these mighty monarchs of the northern forest. We have even been lucky enough in previous trips to see moose while hiking - an unforgettable experience! Do not worry - these are gentle giants and are unperturbed by people.

This day trip was designed to maximize our time in Algonquin Park. It gives us enough time in the park to see a variety of different habitats and potential for seeing many species of mammals and birds.

We have seen many amazing wildlife spectacles in Algonquin Park and hope to share some of them with you - as we have been doing for many years. It is a medium-paced trip that will require small amounts of hiking. We will do our best to view the most diversity of wildlife and have excellent chances to see many things, but cannot guarantee any particular species as the tour takes place in wild terrain and not captive conditions. That being said - all of the photographs you see on this page were taken on Toronto Nature Lovers trips in past years. We will observe and photograph any wildlife we find at leisure, but will not be feeding or approaching wildlife in a way that may be detrimental to their welfare.
