What we're about

Welcome to the Toronto Travel & Outdoor Photography group!

Toronto Travel & Outdoor Photography is for aspiring photographers of all levels. From the beginner who just purchased their first camera to the seasoned pro, everyone will find something of interest.

You love travel, adventure and landscape photography but want to learn more. Join professional photographer Ariel Estulin as he shares years of experience on the process of creating, composing and editing your travel and landscape images.

Photography is a skill-set like any other you learn. Learn to MAKE photographs instead of just TAKING them!

Our hosted events include:

• Photo critique sessions
• Post-Production (Lightroom tutorials)
• Photo workshops
• Photo walks
• General talks on travel & photography

The hosted events will be held in downtown Toronto.

Star and Night Photography Workshop

Torrance Barrens Dark-Sky Preserve

CA$107.35

You'll visit one of the darkest night sky locations in Southern Ontario. This unique spot offers an excellent opportunity to learn how to shoot the night sky and the stars.

With the rapid advance of digital camera technology, today’s cameras are capable of producing photographs that were not possible even just a few years ago. This is an introductory workshop designed to show you how to get started with taking pictures of the night sky and the star.

All levels of photography welcomed. If you've never tried to shoot the stars, here's your chance to learn – I guarantee you'll come away with stars in your photos.

Cost: $95.00 + HST

IN THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL LEARN
• the gear you’ll need
• finding focus and getting sharp images
• calculating exposure
• shooting star trails
• finding and shooting the milky way
• and if we're lucky we'll see the northern lights!!

Our group size is small so you’ll get lots of one-on-one time. You don’t need to run out and buy the latest and greatest, but you should have a digital camera and lens.

DON’T FORGET
• Camera and tripod (mandatory)
• Battery with spares all charged up
• Warm clothes (seasonal)
• Snacks and water
• Camp chair
• Bug net (depends on time of year)

The week of the workshop I'll send out a detailed list of photography gear to registered participants along with instructions on how to get to our meeting spot. If you have any questions prior to the workshop please send me a message.

Covid Protocol
There is lots of space where we're going to be, regardless, all those attending the workshop must wear a mask – I'll have one on at all times.
