On Thursday, October 31st, beginning at 7:00 PM we will be showing the classic horror comedy film, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN from 1974. The movie will begin at approximately 7:30 PM and it will all take place at the Cineplex SilverCity Screening Room located at Fairview Mall at the corner of Don Mills Rd, and Sheppard Ave. The movie is just $8.00 including all taxes.

THE STORY

When the will of Victor Frankenstein, the famous scientist who attempted
to reanimate dead bodies, is opened, his grandson, Frederick (Gene Wilder) who's become a skilled neurosurgeon and teacher and has cut most ties with his family name due to his grandfather's experiments, is given the castle where all the experiments were made. Upon his arrival, Frederick finds and reads through his grandfather's book about his theories and experiments and discovers that they might in fact work. Assisted by Igor (Marty Feldman) the grandson of the Igor who assisted Victor Frankenstein, and Inga (Teri Garr) an attractive lab
assistant, he successfully reanimates a body (Peter Boyle) which soon escapes and creates havoc in this Hilarious Comic tribute to the horror classics Frankenstein and Bride Of Frankenstein that was nominated for 2 Academy Awards for best sound and best writing.

Driving - The Screening Room is located at Fairview Mall at the corner of Don Mills Rd. and Sheppard. Since we're all coming from different directions I suggest going to http://www.mapquest.ca and click on "Get Directions." Your destination address is 1800 Sheppard Ave. East.

Transit - From the Yonge/University Line, Go to Sheppard Station and then take the Sheppard Subway Line to Don Mills Station. From the Bloor/Danforth Subway Line, go to Pape Station and take the #25, Don Mills bus to Don Mills Station. Don Mills Station leads right to Fairview Mall. Free Mall Parking!! Try to park near Shopper's Drug Mart.

Once you're in the mall, go to the 2nd level. The SilverCity Cineplex is between Purdy's Chocolates and Shopper's Drug Mart. At SilverCity, go up the escalator and immediately turn left. From there you will see the lounge and screening room. Dave and Alex will be your hosts.

After the film we can hang together and discuss "YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN" in The Screening Room or in The Lounge.
