BBQ & Games on the Beach! - Sunday, September 4 @ 4:00 p.m.

NOTE: Because of the storm, I am changing the time of this event to 4 p.m. instead of 3 p.m.

Summer is almost over, so let's enjoy it while we can! The first weekend of September, we'll be having a BBQ and games at Woodbine Beach. TNT member Martin is generously bringing his charcoal to enjoy some outdoor food.

If you've never been to a beach in Toronto or swam in one, this event is for you!

How to get to Woodbine Beach

By TTC: From Woodbine subway station, take the 92 Woodbine South bus and get off at Lake Shore Boulevard (one stop after Queen Street East). When you get off, walk south towards the beach and grassy area and you'll see the Bathhouse.

By Car: Drive on the Gardiner Expressway until it ends and merges with Lake Shore Boulevard East. Drive all the way east until it becomes Woodbine Avenue and you'll be in the vicinity of the beach. Paid parking is fairly easy to find, but free on-street parking is more difficult.

Where to Meet

We will meet directly beside the Woodbine Beach Bathhouse (the building with the green rooftop where people change into swimwear). I'll be holding a Meetup sign to identify our group. We'll be meeting there at 3 p.m. After 15 minutes, we'll be setting up our picnic area and BBQ around the Bath House.

If you are arriving later, the best thing to do is to call my cell phone at (647)995-9218 and you can ask me where we are. But generally, we'll be near the Woodbine Beach Bathhouse.

Pricing & Cost

There will be a $5 fee for anyone attending this event, to pay for the cost of buying foods and drinks. However, if you bring any food or drink that's NOT chips or cookies, then the fee will be waived for you!
