I've realized that I have yet to do a bowling event for TorontoTNT! Strikes, turkeys, sweet spots and bowling shoes are in store for our next event at Bowlerama Newtonbrook. This will be the perfect way to relax and have fun during your (probably) long workweek.

For those who haven't been bowling, we'll teach you how to bowl, what techniques you can use and how to get consistent strikes for a 10-pin bowling game. The plan is to play for 2 hours and each lane will have 5 bowlers. I'm putting a cap at 20 members, and I'll see how that goes.

Where to Meet and How To Get To Bowlerama Newtonbrook:

By TTC: Bowlerama Newtonbrook is located close to the subway. Take the Yonge subway line all the way northbound to Finch subway station. Walk about 5 minutes north along Yonge Street. The Bowlerama is inside Newtonbrook Plaza at 5837 Yonge Street.

By Car: Exit off Highway 401 at Yonge Street and Drive north until you reach Newtonbrook Plaza (once you past Finch Avenue). Plenty of parking!

Where We'll Meet

We will meet inside the mall and at the entrance of Newtonbrook Bowlerama at 8 p.m. After 15 minutes, we will start playing!

PRICING AND COSTS

If you bring $15 in total ($12.00 for 2 hours of bowling + $3.50 for bowling shoes), that will be enough to cover everything.

A 1-hour game of bowling costs $27.50 per hour, per lane. If we have 5 bowlers per lane, it roughly comes to $6 per person, and 2 hours would equal $12. Plus the bowling shoes, it would come out to about $15.

That's not including tax, but I have $5 Bowlerama coupons for each lane, so that would get rid of the tax.

Once we get to Bowlerama, I will be collecting $12 from everyone to setup two bowling lanes. And you'll rent the bowling shoes on your own.
