Toronto's Digital Minimalism Meetup group is for digital minimalists, and individuals interested in practising digital minimalism, to meet other likeminded individuals who are working on radically transforming their digital lives.
Using Cal Newport's definition, digital minimalism is a philosophy of technology use in which you focus your online time on a small number of carefully selected and optimized activities that strongly support things you value, and then happily miss out on everything else.
Let's get together to support, inspire and motivate each other's journey towards digital minimalism!
Come hang out with fellow digital minimalism enthusiasts to expand your knowledge and meet other likeminded people!
"Rethink your online life. Rediscover the pleasures of the offline world."
We will be utilizing Cal Newport's new book, Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World, to explore the following three questions:
1. What exactly is digital minimalism?
2. What are the three core principles of digital minimalism?
3. How can we best adopt digital minimalism into our lives?
We will also discuss practical tips and ideas for digital declutter, followed by a 30-day digital declutter challenge for the month of July.
Come prepared to exchange knowledge, learn and have fun!
