Mt. Hood Hike & BBQ weekend at Tyee Lodge

UPDATE: The Lodge will now be open Sunday night for those who would like to stay in the area for the Monday eclipse - it's a short drive south into the "zone of totality". The Lodge will close at 7am Monday. Please add $25 to your PayPal payment if you would like to stay

Join us for a fun summer weekend at Tyee Lodge which will qualify you for Trails Club of Oregon membership. Saturday night we will serve ribs, biscuits, and watermelon. We ask that each guest bring a picnic side dish such as coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, corn on the cob, mac & cheese, garden salad, etc. We will have fun outdoor games and hold a pie judging contest with a blue ribbon - bring us your best!

Note: We will meet you at the trailhead before your hike to transport your side dish to Tyee Lodge so that it doesn't sit in the hot car for hours.

The lodge will accommodate 22 women and 22 men for Saturday night. There are three options for weekend activities, please choose one when you sign up:

1. Trillium Lake Saturday + optional Tom Dick & Harry sunrise Sunday

7:00am: Meet at Gateway Transit Center, 1321 NE 99th ave

8:30am: Trillium Lake easy hike, swim, lunch (bring your own)

1:00pm: Head to Tyee Lodge

3:00pm: Outdoor games

5:00pm: Dinner & pie judging/eating

Sun

3:00am: Head to Tom Dick & Harry for sunrise hike

9:00am: Breakfast at Tyee Lodge

11:00am: Clean lodge

12 noon: Lunch (leftovers)

2. Tom Dick & Harry Saturday + Optional Trillium Lake Loop Hike Sunday

7:00am: Meet at Gateway Transit Center, 1321 NE 99th Ave

8:30am: Tom Dick & Harry Hike

1:30pm: Head to Tyee Lodge

3:00pm: Outdoor games

5:00pm: Dinner & pie judging/eating

Sun

7:00am: Head to Trillium Lake

9:00am: Breakfast at Tyee Lodge

11:00am: Clean lodge

12 noon: Lunch (leftovers)

3. Relax at Tyee Lodge and/or hike on your own

Sat

9:00am: Lodge open for Sat arrivals, come anytime after 9am

3:00pm: Outdoor games

5:00pm: Dinner & pie judging/eating

Sun

9:00am: Breakfast at Tyee Lodge

11:00am: Clean lodge

12 noon: Lunch (leftovers)

Cost = $30 for dues-paying Trails Club members, $40 guests

Friday Night: The lodge will be Friday at 4pm to Monday at 7am. If you would like to stay Friday night and/or Sunday night please add $15 per member and $25 per guest per night to your PayPal payment. Food will not be provided.

Provided will be:

• Heated facilities, hot water
• Overnight bunk style lodging with mattresses
• Saturday ribs, biscuits, & watermelon + Sunday breakfast
• Showers & restrooms
• Coffee, tea, lemonade

Please bring:

• Sleeping bag
• 2 liters water
• Head Lamp, sunscreen, hat
• Lunch & snacks for hikes
• Personal toiletries, including washcloth & towel
• Side dish for picnic
• Homemade pie (if you would like to participate in contest)
• Outdoor games of any kind
• Gas and parking money for your driver ($5-$10 based on number of passengers)

There is no alcohol or smoking in the lodge, strictly enforced.
