What is working you that brings you to be interested in Transition?

I'm almost done with an engineering degree and hope to start building bike-tractors/appliances to fund research into small-scale steam engines, i think local and locally manufactured energy could be the key to growing beyond the fringe, and I think steam engines are overall the best choice for Maine (no reason not to work on others, but the bulk should be local combined heat and power plants, especially once we can adapt our engines to burn algae)

An unlicensed engineer and permaculturalist who came to activism in Montreal, a firm believer in collective ownership and participation and very hopeful about the world we can build and spread through our joy in it
