Calling all coders with a passion for traffic, and studying and visualizing how we use our roads. This event is a show & tell of traffic-related apps & maps.

• Rakesh Nune (https://twitter.com/nunerakesh) of DDOT (http://ddot.dc.gov/) has a program that uses social media data for early traffic incident detection and management.
• Will Kasper will show how Skycomp (http://www.skycomp.com/) gets speed, route and travel-time data ‎from time-lapse aerial photography.
• Anthony Gallo of Kimley-Horn (http://www.kimley-horn.com/) will discuss traffic simulation for the I-66 Outside the Beltway Express Lanes project (http://outside.transform66.org/).
• Jared Sheehan (https://twitter.com/jayroo5245) will show how Driversiti (http://www.driversiti.com/) uses mobile devices to detect driver behavior.
• Nikola Ivanov (https://twitter.com/baronnik) of CATT Lab (http://www.cattlab.umd.edu/) will share how their "Virtual Weigh Station" app helps the MD SHA (http://www.roads.maryland.gov/) Freight Enforcement Division discover illegally heavy loads.
• Brian Zito, Ashley Peter, and Seth Clark created Eyes Ahead, an app that discourages texting and driving by creating accountability.
