Vacation Day 1 - Friday: Arrive Lima, Peru Upon arrival in Lima, Peru you will be met at the airport and transfered to our hotel. Lima, Arrive early and spend the day in the City of Kings, a city full of history and cultural heritage. Vacation Day 2 - Saturday: Lima / Cusco Early in the morning we transfer to the airport for our flight to Cusco. Upon arrival free time for a rest and to get used to the altitude. Cusco was a Holy City, place of pilgrimage, a sacred place the Incas themselves believed was “The Navel of World”, thus its real name “Qosqo”. Tonight enjoy a dinner in a typical restaurant with a folklore show. Vacation Day 3 - Sunday: Cusco Enjoy time for souvenir shopping before our afternoon tour of Cusco. Vacation Day 4 - Monday: Cusco - Excursion to the "Sacred Valley of the Incas" Machu Picchu Sacred ValleyA succession of picturesque towns, agricultural terraces and archaeological sites. In the afternoon we pass through Calca and Urubamba towns to arrive at the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo. Vacation DAY 5 - Tuesday: Cusco / Machu Picchu Machu Picchu TrainThe day starts with an early morning transfer to Cusco train station. Enjoy a unique train ride towards the marvelous Inca ruins of Machu Picchu. After our three 1/2 hour train journey have lunch in Agias Calientes before we drive up the mountain to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as "The Lost City of the Incas". Vacation Day 6 - Wednesday: Machu Picchu: Aguas Calientes - Cusco Excellent opportunity to wake up early, enjoy a beautiful sunrise, stroll around town or visit the Hot Spring Thermal waters. And still have time for optional activities. Vacation Day 7 - Thursday: Cusco - Puno Morning departure by bus to the City of Puno. Day 8 - Friday: Puno: Titicaca Lake Floating Island of the Uros and Island of Taquile This morning, we will have an unforgettable motorboat excursion on the waters of Lake Titicaca to the unique "Floating Islands" of the Uros. Vacation Day 9 - Satuday: Puno/ Lima Early in the morning we transfer to the airport for our flight to Lima. A city tour around Lima is a fantastic way to discover the history in this old capital of the Conquistadors. After all that sightseeing let's sit back and enjoy a folklore show and dinner at a local Peruvian restaurant at our Farewell Dinner. SPRING IN ITALY! Join Ann’s Adventures in Travel on this Italy singles vacation that starts in Rome and travels the Amalfi Coast, said to be the most spectacular drive in Europe. Each destination is as fantastic as the last and Southern Italy will inspire the imagination and create unforgettable memories. ITINERARY Day 1: Rome On arrival at the Rome airport (remember you are flying home from Naples NAP), take the provided shuttle to the Hotel Universo. Day 2: Rome See Rome on the hop-on hop-off open-top double decker bus! This morning enjoy a full 360 degree panoramic view as we drive around Rome. We will hop off at the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Roman Forum and the Vatican. Tonight enjoy our Welcome dinner at a local Italian restaurant. Day 3: Rome to Amalfi Morning departure from Rome. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as we get our first glimpse of the Amalfi coast. The Amalfi Coast offers one of the world’s great drives so get your cameras ready. The winding cliff top road offers breathtaking panoramic views at every turn. Spend the afternoon visiting the magic town of Amalfi, its history, art and culture. Amalfi, is a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring St. Andrew’s Cathedral, whose 57 steps will reward you with a great workout and a great view. Day 4: Ravello A cooking course is a truly unique experience. To travel and visit new countries also means to know the tastes and flavors. Our mid-morning lesson will consist of traditional Neapolitan cuisine with an emphasis on Amalfi recipes. A slow uphill drive along a very narrow road passing several wineries and olive factories, leads to Ravello and one of the most splendid views of the entire coast. Perched on top of the mountain cliff situated above Amalfi and Minori. Ravello, famous for its breath-taking views, natural beauty and ancient monuments are presented at their best in the gardens of Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo (where our tour begins). After this wonderful experience we return to Amalfi for the night. Let’s check out Amalfi at night and have a nice dinner. Day 5: Amalfi Enjoy a day in Amalfi, relax at the beach, walk around the town or do some sightseeing. Day 6: Amalfi Coast – Capri Our full-day boat excursion begins when we depart Amalfi and steer towards the nearby seaside towns of Maiori and Minori. Just beyond Maiori is the marine cave called Pandora’s Grotto, experience this beautiful natural wonder. Enjoy a few hours on the beautiful island of Capri. On the way back to Amalfi, stop for a swim in a picturesque location where it is possible to dive straight off the boat. Day 7: Pompeii – Sorrento – Positano Step back in time as we walk through the ancient city of Pompeii. A thrilling archaeological journey unfolds as we explore the ancient ruins which were buried in ashes after Mount Vesuvius erupted almost 2000 years ago. After leaving Pompeii travel the coastal road to its furthest point to Sorrento and Positano. Day 8: Amalfi – Naples Enjoy your last views of the Amalfi Coast when we travel to the hamlets of Atrani, Maiori and Minori.). After a stop for lunch in a restaurant along the coast, visit the town of ceramic… Vietri is a delightful town on a terrace overlooking the sea and is famous for its highly colorful ceramics that decorate most of the civic buildings and the facade of the Villa Guariglia… Onto Naples for an overview of the city and to check into our Hotel NH Napoli Ambassador… Tonight enjoy our Farewell Dinner! Celebrate summer time in France; visit castles, gardens and beaches on this wonderful Singles Vacation … Paris has enough monuments and museums to last a lifetime; the Loire Valley is world famous for its chateaus, Lyon for the cuisine, Marseilles for their port and the French Riviera’s Nice is tres chic. ITINERARY Day 1: Arrive in Paris Upon arrival at the Paris airport (CDG), *remember you are flying home from Nice (NCE), you will take the shuttle to our hotel, the Marriott Rive Gauche. Check-in and receive your Paris hop-on hop-off bus pass. Paris is The bus offers 4 different routes and it is valid for 2 consecutive days. Meet and greet in the hotel lobby and walk to an optional dinner at 7:00pm. Day 2: Paris This morning we will continue using our hop on, hop off pass. Next we will take the bus to the Champs de Elysee, where there will be free time for lunch and shopping. Tonight our Welcome Dinner will be in a local restaurant Day 3: Paris to the Loire Valley Today we have a guided tour of three of the most impressive castles in the Loire Valley. We return to Paris in time to enjoy an optional dinner together. Day 4: Paris to Marseille This morning we transfer to the train station and in about three hours we will be on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Watch the French countryside goes by as we speed towards Marseille. Our panoramic tour of Marseille begins upon arrival. The highlight of the tour is the Notre Dame de la Garde, a 19th century basilica. After checking into our hotel, the Golden Tulip Marseille Euromed, we can make a “loop” of the Old Port, walking around three sides and then taking the little ferryboat across from one side to the other. Maybe we will grab a bite to eat in one of many seafood restaurants. Day 5: Perched Villages of the Luberon After breakfast our full day tour begins as we drive to the heart of the Provence countryside to tour five unspoiled villages perched on the ridges of the Luberon hills. Set among the vineyards, olive groves, and cedar trees wander pass ancient ruins carved into the rocks. Return to Marseille to sleep and enjoy a night stroll and have an optional dinner. Day 6: Marseille to Nice We board our train to Nice, and upon arrival we transfer to the Hotel Ellington. Discover this picture-postcard city on the French Riviera on our afternoon walking tour of Nice. After our group tour, you can continue to explore the streets, beaches and markets of Nice. Walk along the famous Promenade des Anglais and enjoy the views of the Mediterranean. Day 7: St. Tropez Today we cruise the coastal curve of the French Riviera to St Tropez on a full-day excursion from Nice. Climb aboard our ferry for a 2.5-hour scenic journey and marvel at the stunning coastal scenery as we sail along the Mediterranean coast arriving on the sun-drenched shores of St Tropez. Day 8: Nice A day at leisure for exploring, shopping or enjoying the beach. Day 9: Nice to Monte Carlo, Monaco We leave France and travel across the border into Monaco. Drive along the spectacular blue waters of the coastline lined with typical Mediterranean villages and modern marinas. Tonight we gather for our last evening in France and enjoy our farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Day 10: Nice – Depart Home Say “Au Revoir” to Nice as your France singles vacation ends and you are transferred to the Nice airport for your return flight home. ITINERARY Day 1: Arrive in Amsterdam Arrive in Amsterdam (airport code AMS) and take your provided shuttle to the Swissotel Amsterdam. Tonight we our guided tour takes us through the Red Light District Day 2: Amsterdam – Zaanse Schans and Volendam Today we enjoy a full day tour in and around Amsterdam. In the morning we drive to the fishing villages of Volendam and Marken, where we will visit a cheese farm and wooden clog maker. Later we will of course take a look at the world famous windmills and enter the Windmill De Kat. Our first day in Amsterdam, often called the “Venice of the north,” would not be the same without the famous canal boat ride. Tonight we dine together at a local restaurant for our our welcome dinner. Day 3: Amsterdam – Cologne – Braubach – Koblenz Depart Amsterdam for Germany. Our first stop will be Cologne. A short drive takes us to Marksburg Castle. We spend the night in Koblenz. Day 4: Rhine River Cruise After breakfast we drive to Sankt Goarshausen to board our ship for an amazing day on the Rhine River exploring the Loreley Valley. Day 5: Wiesbaden – Rothenburg ob der Tauber Enjoy the scenery on our morning drive from Wiesbaden to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, known for its well-preserved medieval old town. Tonight we accompany the Rothenburg Night Watchman on his entertaining and informative rounds through the darkness Day 6: Rothenburg ob der Tauber – Neuschwanstein We will take a few hour bus ride as we travel to the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Day 7: Neuschwanstein – Innsbruck Today we leave Germany behind as we drive to Innsbruck, Austria, the capital of the Alps. Experience Innsbruck’s old town on our guided walking tour and view over 800 years of the city’s colorful history. Day 8: Innsbruck – Lucerne Travel through the Arlberg Road Tunnel, at 6.6 miles it is Austria’s longest road tunnel, on our way to Lucerne. Day 9: Lucerne – Mount Pilatus Spend the morning in the Swiss Alps. Our Golden round trip will takes us to the most spectacular spots on Mount Pilatus and to the summit by boat, cogwheel railway, aerial cableway and gondolas. Enjoy a boat trip on Lake Lucerne and a view of the surrounding mountains. Day 10: Lucerne – Zurich On our way to Zurich we stop at Rhine Falls, the largest waterfalls in Switzerland.
