Using sports to teach healthy life choices and promote peace across gender and ethnic divides is a powerful teaching tool for many men, women and children in third world and developing nations. As a catalyst for change, it provides discipline, teamwork, leadership skills and FUN. For many children and adults, the game of choice is soccer, even though there are a variety of other sports to participate in. If you have a desire to empower others using sports, your talents, coaching skills and patience (<: are needed here, If you have the desire to serve in this capacity, your help is needed here. If you are currently a coach or have volunteered in this capacity, in your own community or abroad, we would love to hear from you.
There are so many ways to volunteer, including.. mental health care/relationship counseling, training and skill development, sports and recreation programs, domestic violence awareness, social enterprise, adult literacy, mentoring and coaching. Your skills, time and talent are greatly needed in this area We have several project partners that we can place volunteers with.
