GROUP TRIP! Feb 6-28, 2026, over the course of 3 weeks of adventure, we're traveling to Antarctica, Chile, South Georgia Island, and the Falkland Islands!
This group trip is for members of the Travel group & is open to their friends & family.
THE FULL ITINERARY & TRIP INFO IS HERE: https://www.travelhx.com/en-us/cruises/in-depth-antarctica-falklands-south-georgia-expedition/
TOUR ITINERARY:
Feb 5th:
Depart from Omaha airport early afternoon, flying to Santiago, Chile
Feb 6th:
Flights typically travel overnight, and since we departed the US on the 5th, that means we arrive into Santiago late in the morning on the 6th. Today is a rest day, or you can walk and explore on our own, hit the hotel spa, or whatever you'd like to do.
Feb 7th:
Transport from Santiago to Punta Arenas, where we board our ship. Who's up for a lifechanging adventure?
Feb 8-11th:
We sail towards Falkland Islands, and finally arrive! The Falkland archipelago is filled with seamless horizons and white sands teeming with birdlife. Only the occasional farm dots the landscape. You’ll find grassy hills and wildflowers, in contrast to the vast whiteness of Antarctica to come.
Feb 12-17th:
Cruising the South Atlantic, sailing from the Falklands, we spend two days cruising towards beautiful South Georgia. Then, we arrive! Abundant wildlife has earned it the nickname ‘Serengeti of the Southern Ocean’. South Georgia's unique position free from sea ice makes the island a breeding site for large colonies of penguins, other seabirds and seals.
Feb 18-24th:
Antarctica! On the two-day crossing through the Drake Passage, the Expedition Team will equip you with all you need to make the most of our polar expedition. Visit the onboard Science Center and find out what lies ahead. Listen to experts talk passionately about Antarctica’s history, the science beneath the ice, and lectures of Antarctic topics. Relax and meet fellow adventurers.
After arriving to Antarctica, we’ll join the Expedition Team on landings and ice cruises, all included as part of our expedition. You may even get a chance to go kayaking among the icebergs on an optional activity. Back on board, the Expedition Team will continue their lectures, helping us expand our insights of the frozen continent. These days are like a dream, experiencing this amazing world in a way that will stay with us for a lifetime.
Around the 25th, we'll head back towards Argentina, arriving to Ushuaia by the 27th.
Feb 25-28th:
We leave Antarctica behind and sail back to Punta Arenas, Chile. On the 28th we dock and board our charter flight back to Santiago. As you leave this beautiful region behind, you’ll take with you lasting memories of everything you’ve seen and done, a deep scientific knowledge of the most incredible region on earth, the importance of these precious habitats, and the positive experiences of sustainable expedition travel.PRICES:
