Hey 2.0'ers,

I hope 2015 is off to a great start for you! I wanted to get things rolling this year by requesting some feedback from group members (y'all) and sharing some related upcoming events and opportunities.

Travel 2.0 Event Planning

Travel 2.0 Monthly Events
I'd like to get our monthly events going again soon. Are you interested in presenting, or have an event idea related to travel innovation, technology or startups? Please email me at [address removed]. (don't be shy!)

Travel+SocialGood Events
As mentioned in previous emails, Travel 2.0 is working closely with Travel+SocialGood to create social impact hubs in NYC and beyond. The goal is to bring travel companies together in a physical space and provide education and opportunities to collaborate, all geared toward social good. We would love to hear your feedback on this idea. If you haven't taken our survey yet, please do so here!
Learn more about the Travel+SocialGood initiative here:

Looking For Talent, Or New Opportunities In The Travel Industry?

Are you open to new career paths, or seeking to hire top talent in the travel industry? I've started building a database of candidates and companies, matching talent with opportunities while maintaining privacy on both sides. Whether you're actively looking or just open to what's out there, please feel free to send me your resume or job opportunity and I will see if I have a good fit. Email me at [address removed].

Free Startup Education

Are you currently running a startup, or think about starting one? Would you like to know how to avoid the counterintuitive mistakes that practically all startups make? It's not often that all the answers are handed to you for free from a trustworthy source, but the folks at Y Combinator have put their absolutely incredible Stanford class "How To Start A Startup" online and open to the public. Sound business advice for all companies (not just startups) can be found here - information that can save you hours or even years of missteps.
Free - you just need to spend the time to watch or read... don't be lazy!

Bonus - when you think your travel startup is ready, try applying to the Travel Startups Incubator:

Hope all this is helpful, and hope to see you soon!
