Paddle to Church Island where the Church of Epiphany once stood before towns were flooded to create Lake Marion. Step out of your kayak to explore the church's burial ground dating back to 1804. Enjoy blue skies and gentle breezes while watching a vast array of birds including Osprey, Ibis, Wood Storks, Great Blue Herons and Cormorants. See diverse aquatic plants like Water Primrose and Crested Floating Heart bordered by tall grasses and Cypress trees. This is a great trip for history buffs and wildlife enthusiasts.
