Pour Boys present: Blue Note Grill Monthly Beer Tasting: Oktoberfest!

Every part of the year has some great seasonals, and Fall is no exception. This month, our theme is Oktoberfest beer, a golden to amber lager that is a subset of the Marzen style. (The name dates from an 1810 Bavarian celebration, link below.) These are characterized by light toasty bread or biscuit maltiness nicely offset by mild hop bitterness and aroma. US versions, as usual, may display a bit more hops. Expect clean, well balanced, medium bodied lagers with just enough maltiness to blend with cooling temperatures and falling leaves.

Join us this Weds., October 16, and enjoy six satisfying Oktoberfest beers, including local, domestic, and German examples-- and the area's best ribs, burgers & vegetarian fare, plus some live music. You'll get six generous pours of around 6 oz. each. Runs 7 - 10pm; show up anytime in between and drink at your own pace; you can go with our recommended order, or choose your own. Cost is only $12, get your tasting sheet at the bar.
