What we're about

It's hard for someone who is in their late 20s, 30's or 40's to meet people outside of work.

This group is technically a nightlife group, but hopefully we can plan some events for the daylight hours too. Movies, Wine-tastings, dinners, theater, dog parks, whatever we can think of. I will try to spread the meetups around the Triad as much as possible so that people in different areas can attend. Come out and discover new places and new friends!

Anyhow, if you are..... between ~25-50 yrs old, grew apart from friends, new in the area, newly divorced or just don't know too many people. Welcome to the group! Singles as well as married people (attending with or without their spouses) are welcome!

Hopefully you will meet some great people as I have from some of the other groups!

Send me an email if you have any suggestions for events!! Hope to see you soon!!

Please review our policies as well: http://nightlife.meetup.com/442/pages/policies/

**Please note if you RSVP yes to three or more events which you are a no-show you will be removed from the group**

Coffee Bags for Nothing But Nets Fundraiser

Village Fabric Shop

On June 26th we will gather to make bags out of sustainable coffee sacks. An instructor will lead us through how to cut the coffee bag and sew in a lining and straps. These bags will be perfect for carrying to market for produce, or to the beach with a book and towel. Participants must register by June 19th, by pre-paying through the Winston-Salem Jaycees page. Proceeds from this project will benefit Nothing but Nets, which is eradicating malaria and mosquito-borne illnesses one net at a time. Cost for the bag will be $25 for Jaycees members and Associates, $30 for Non-Members (including members of meetup only). This event is limited to 10 people and you will have to reserve a space by clicking the link below and donating the fee to the Jaycees (Make sure and mark your donation "Coffee Bag"). ► Donate Link to reserve spot: https://www.wsjaycees.org/donate/ Questions or you want to chair this event? Reach out to [masked]. Nothing But Nets is a global grassroots campaign to raise awareness, funds, and voices to fight malaria. In 2006, sports columnist Rick Reilly wrote a column in Sports Illustrated challenging each of his readers to donate at least $10 to send insecticide-treated bed nets to protect families from malaria-carrying mosquitoes. Since then, with the help of our partners and supporters, we have raised over $70 million to help deliver 13 million bed nets to families in need, along with other crucial malaria interventions like diagnostics, treatment, and training of healthcare workers. ============= Find more of our events on our Facebook page or our website: www.facebook.com/wsjaycees www.wsjaycees.org
