I apologize for doing this and hope everyone had seen my earlier email. Due to an unplanned last minute emergency I am unable to attend tonight's event. The doctor put me on pain meds that make me groggy and unable to drive. This does not allow me to attend tonight.

I am really sorry for this being such last minute but it really was out of my control.
