What we’re about
This is a group for board gamers of all skill levels looking to get and be a part of the biggest (and absolute best) board game community in the Triangle! We welcome everyone from people just dipping their toes into the board game scene to that one guy who owns maybe a few too many expansions for Carcassonne to realistically ever play with. The idea is to meet up either on a weeknight or weekend day 4-5 times a month at different bars, have a few pints, play a few games, and make some new friends! I have access to a small library of games but bringing your favorites is definitely encouraged, looking forward to meeting everyone!

Tichu tournament - competitive level
Gamers Geekery And Tavern, 107 Edinburgh South Dr Unit 213 Cary, NC 27511 United States, Cary, Cary, NC, USHi all,
So were doing a second Tichu tournament. The event date is Oct 25th starting at noon. The format will be Swiss style.
If we have 16 or less teams we will just play the Swiss rounds and declare a winner (and second) and award prizes from there. If we have over 16 teams we will cut to a top 4 and have a play off after the Swiss.
I know that's a little wild west way of doing it, but I'm still figuring out how to run these things.
Unlike the last one I will be playing in this one. I'll still be the rules lawyer for the day, but I'll designate someone not affiliated to be the back up rules person in case a ruling is needed at a table I'm participating in.
Reach out if you have any questions.
