Carolina Century (external event), 21mi, 31mi, 51mi, ..., 82mi, 102mi
Summary: Carolina Century Event Website (http://bl2u.com/events/carolina-century/) 102 * 82 * 72 * 64 * 51 * 31 * 21-mile routes 10 Hours of Support / SAG! All proceeds for people with MS! Excellent routes, designed by a veteran skater, for skaters! Details: This will be the last big event most of us do for the outdoor skating season. The Carolina Century is a skater and cyclist friendly event put together by Blake of Roadskater.net fame. Because Blake is a skater, he's chosen a great route that is filled with good pavement and great rollouts after nearly all hills, requiring little or no braking over nearly 100% of the course. There are multiple distance options ranging from 21 to 102 miles, with plenty of choices in between. Ten hours of great support means that even cyclists who enjoy long rides but don't want to "hammer" it can ride up to 102 miles at a comfortable pace. Event registration is very inexpensive, and proceeds go to help fight MS. Registration link will be up soon. Note that we will use this Meetup event just to keep our fellow Triangle skaters informed, and perhaps to arrange to car pool. Please indicate your mode of travel (skates or a bike?) and your likely event distance. However... YOU MUST GO TO THE EVENT WEB SITE TO REGISTER! Hope to see you there!

What we're about

The Triangle Inline Skate Club Meetup is a place where you can connect with other inline skaters. We host occasional skates of different types (trail skating, road skating, rink skating) on an irregular schedule. We participate in occasional events (skating in local cycling events, and skating events in NC as well as other locations around the country). And our members are encouraged to add their own skating events to our calendar so that fellow members can join them. There's no cost to join the Meetup nor attend any of our local skates. However, when we attend official cycling or skating events there are usually registration fees collected by the event organizers - which has nothing at all to do with us or our Meetup! Posting official cycling/skating events on our calendar is just a way to let you know that some of us plan to attend - in case you want to join us!
