6:30-7:15 Kubernetes 1.8 and beyond

Derek will review some key work that occurred in Kubernetes 1.8 and glimpse at 1.9

Derek joined Red Hat in 2014 as an early external contributor. Derek's first PR enabled people to contribute to the project by running Kubernetes in a VM. Derek was responsible for the design and implementation of namespaces, quota, limits, and much of the supporting internal machinery like admission control, indexers, and clients prior to the 1.0 release.
