How did you become interested in philosophy?

I took a one semester course in Existentialism in college years ago, which helped pique my interest. Also, a lot of my interest in philosophy falls out of my interest in political science. Watching The Matrix movies might have helped also.

Can you summarize your philosophical outlook in 50 words or less?

I have a lot of sympathy for existentialist viewpoints to the extent that I understand them; which may not be much. Zen Buddhism appeals to my way of thinking quite a bit as well, but I'm still learning more about that subject.

What topics interest you the most?

Everything, really.

34 year old male software engineer from Chapel Hill, NC. Little formal education in philosophy (my education is mostly geeky C.S. stuff) but much interest in philosophy, both Western and other. Libertarian politically, Agnostic vis-a-vis religion.
