Do you like to hike and enjoy beautiful nature like mountaintop views or waterfalls? Like to capture natural beauty you may enounter with your camera? This group is for you!

We will schedule hikes that are scenic, allow for good exercise, and we will make stops for picture taking.

We will have a group where we can learn from eachother. The leader is not a professional photographer but is moved by beauty and longs to capture that. Photography professionals, hobbiests, enthusiasts, or beginners, let's enjoy these trails together.

Hikes will be scheduled during the work week as well as weekends. Some hikes will be in the Triangle area, the Piedmont plateau mountain area (Hanging Rock, Pilot Mountain), and some in our large mountain ranges in the western part of the state.

I'll be accepting a few other folks as leaders who would like to lead hikes (come hike with us and let me know you're interested).  Let me know also if you are a professional (or simiprofessional) photographer willing to help those wanting to learn more on a hike.

If groups wants to meet on occasion to do critiques and share tips using our pictures from a hike, those can be planned as well.  If a professional in the group would like to teach us a skill, let us know.

What kind of hikes do you like (easy, moderate, difficult/strenuous)?

We will be scheduling all levels of hikes with this Meetup.  I will list the difficulty when posted so you can decide what is appropriate for your level of fitness.  Some hikes may be strenuous because mountain views are lovely but those will be posted as such.  This group would be good for slow hikers because many will make stops to shoot pictures.

Come join us!
