Bynum Front Porch Storytelling show

Bynum General Store

Bynum Front Porch sponsors monthly storytelling "theater" at the Bynum General Store* September - May, on second Saturdays. There are 4-5 storytellers and a comedian emcee. There's a variety of stories: both folk tales and true stories. It's family friendly but geared to those 8 and above. The show is free but a pith helmet is passed to pay the tellers. It's a most enjoyable evening! There are refreshments and time for visiting too! Bring a snack if you'd like to share. It's like a party with friends - and some of the friends are really good storytellers! :-) If you'd like to get together for dinner before the show please mention it in your RSVP. Award winning restaurants nearby are: Allen and Son's BBQ, Carolina Brewery Pittsboro, Oakleaf, Virlie's Grill, S&T's Soda Shop, Pittsboro Roadhouse, Bella Donna, The Root Cellar, San Fillipe and Moon Asian Bistro. Call or email me if you have questions:[masked], [masked], or @cynthiaraxter on twitter. *The historic Bynum General Store is in the former cotton mill town of Bynum, on the banks of the Haw River, in Chatham County, NC. Now an artist community Bynum is 15 minutes from Chapel Hill or Cary - and a million miles away. ;-)
