What we're about

A group for fans of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, including the Hobbit, the Lord of the Rings, the Silmarillion, etc.

Activities could range from discussion of Tolkien's legendarium, book readings, movie watching, trivia, trading theories, exploring canon-inspired music/art, games, food, maybe dabbling in outdoor activities like archery.

Activities would be planned by participating members. Meetings would be once or twice a month, depending on people's enthusiasm/schedules.

The end goal is to meet like-minded folk and to have fun, in a way that both veteran and new JRRT fans can enjoy!

Needs a location

Join us in viewing the new movie Tolkien in theater! Actual time and location TBD based on showings, so keep an eye on the discussion board!

Book Club: Beowulf/ The Monsters and the Critics

Quail Ridge Books

Join us at Quail Ridge Books as we discuss Beowulf and Tolkien's lecture The Monsters and the Critics! If you can get your hands on a Tolkien translation of Beowulf, that's great, but not necessary; there are copies available through the public library system. Note: The Monsters and the Critics is not part of the Houghton Mifflin version and must be acquired separately.
