Making sense of beacon signals with the help of machine learning

Details
Machine learning can be useful in indoor tracking technology. Let's imagine that a building has a couple of bluetooth beacons placed in different locations. Smartphones and other devices can sense signals from several of those beacons. Each location will have a more or less unique set of signal strengths. One can create a dataset with mappings from signal strengths to locations, and machine learning models can learn from that data.
In this two-hour workshop we'll play with
-
A browser-based signal simulator
-
A python-based machine learning script
Remember to bring your own laptop!
The workshop is suitable for programmers who are curious about machine learning, but there may also be some small challenges available for experienced ML practitioners.
As usual, food will be served :)
