Object detection in 3D images

Zivid is a startup (spin-out from SINTEF) that makes one of the world's best 3D cameras. The camera can be used to give robots accurate three-dimensional vision. Co-Founder Øystein Skotheim will present Zivid (now hiring ML engineers!) and a couple of cases where they believe machine learning is relevant. He will also give a live demo of their camera technology.

Iver Jordal will give a quick intro to the basics of object detection.

Afterwards, Øystein will share some 3D images and show how they can be loaded and visualized in Python. Remember to bring your own laptop if you want to stay and play with the data.

We will also raffle off free JetBrains product licenses (for e.g. IntelliJ IDEA or PyCharm).
