WHAT IS 'FOR THE WORLD'?
For the World (ftw.org) is a non-profit organization that empowers people in communities around the world to take action in their own unique way on climate change and sustainability issues.

We started For the World because we believe in the power of creation, innovation and entrepreneurship to solve problems. We're concerned that government and corporations won't change quickly enough to address the worst case scenarios of the climate crisis. Consider that no government or corporation ever changed without tremendous pressure from the bottom-up, our mission is to drive massive action in cities, towns and neighborhoods around the world that inspire new solutions to the climate crisis and give people a new sense of hope.

After all, it's not a lack of concern, solutions or funding stopping us from addressing this crisis. It's a lack of action.

For the World events are inspired by Startup Weekend's "No Talk, All Action" approach.
