ENTER COUPON CODE: FSP10 TO SAVE $10.00! https://macphun.evyy.net/2yA7z FEEL FREE to share the link and code any place / how you'd like. MY INITIAL REVIEW OF LUMINAR 3: * Excellent alternative to Adobe Lightroom and / or Photoshop. * Can be use stand alone or in conjunction as a plugin to Lightroom and / or Photoshop. * Price-wise pays for itself in a few month's vs Adobe's $10.00, and up, monthly subscription for LIFE! * From my years of teaching Photoshop and seeing thousands of users never to learn to use it for more than a fraction of what it can do, you'd probably get more value, learn it's features much faster and simpler than you will in Photoshop. * Learning curve compared to Lightroom, about the same. Except it can do WAY MUCH more, it's part Lightroom and part Photoshop. It could be everything you'll ever need. * Unexpected surprise: many users buy add-on plugins for Photoshop, like Nik Software, Topaz, Expose, and tons more. I had 10 other members attending and we all agreed it looked like what all those plugins together (costing $$.$$) this can do by default. Probably can do more than you'd ever need, but, it's there included if you want. Add this value in savings not buying plugins, you save potentially hundreds, or more, dollars. * A welcome surprise was: Many know I like Adobe Bridge because I'm an old DOS user and like using computer folders, I don't care for "catalog" based software like Lightroom because you always have to "import" to work with the files. AMAZING would be software that lets you work either way, like browse to a folder like you are used to doing in Windows Explorer or MAC Finder and as you do it also automatically adds to it's catalog. Example: You end up with images on your hard drive that Lightroom didn't import, you'll never "see" them in LR, you'll probably forget you have them. In Luminar 3 that can't happen, just browse to the hard drive folder you saved images to, and viola, Luminar 3 shows you them and catalogs them, brilliant! * It does layers (many more types than Photoshop), masking, brushes, selections, create your own workspace, and more. * For portraits, retouching programs / plugins that claim to smooth and blend skin always leave a gooey and un-sharp look to the skin. That's what you get for a "one click miracle", Luminar comes with a "Portrait" one click'er button. And while it had a bit of the gooey look, it was darn near the best one click'er I've sampled, and I've sampled many. There's more I could say, but about out of room. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose, and possibly a lot to gain. Come back here and leave a comment with your thoughts after trying it.

FREE! Social-Exposure: Capture One, Lightroom Alternative?

VERY LIMITED ATTENDANCE - RSVP ASAP! - IF YOU NEED TO UPDATE TO "NOT GOING" DO SO ASAP. * BRING A FOLDING CHAIR "IF" YOU HAVE IN CASE I RUN OUT * USE THIS GPS LINK FROM YOUR PHONE (more accurate): https:/maps.app.goo.gl/J6oAj ======== What's a FREE! Workshop? A FREE! informal (may run long / short & not rehearsed) educational / social time for those with interest in photography and related fields, modeling, retouching, MUA, etc. We start with a predetermined Kickstart topic which may wonder off to other topics based on your questions. OVERVIEW: I've been asked by quite a few members to review / give my opinion about Capture One. My software of choice as it's superior in image quality / fidelity to Adobe ACR or Lightroom and pretty much all other RAW file software. I am very well versed in it's use and have been using it for many years. It has some fantastic features, especially for portrait photographers. Albeit, a steeper leaving curve. I provide private lessons in it's use. It's part Lightroom and Photoshop in it's features. This software is made by Phase One, those really expensive medium format cameras and comes with Sony cameras. Actually, you'll find much of the high quality look in Phase One images are actually more dependent on this software than the actual camera, it makes all other supported brand cameras look much better compared to when processed via Adobe ACR and Lightroom. Myself, and Dona Tion (see below), are going run a few files I need to get done, portraits, landscape and a still life through it and you're welcome to partake, ask questions and take control of the mouse and use it yourself if you'd like. They did NOT reach out to me, this is for your benefit only. COST = FREE! But, there'll be a donation box, affectionately named Dona Tion. Dona says "Please give what ya can to keep these going".
