The Ruby photos are HDR more on that below.
I will be in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, (1650 West Valencia Tucson, AZ 85746) the south east side from around 7:30 to 7:45 am. If anyone wants to join in, great, a car pool would be a good idea. The phone number for infor on Ruby is[masked]

I will also be talking about HDR, if you would like to learn a little about HDR, this is a great place to play.

The software I will be using and showing you how to do HDR photos is Photomatix (
To learn HDR, look here: ( or here
http://photo.tutsplus... (
Or just Google “HDR”

If you want to learn HDR, you WILL NEED to know how to use your camera, bring your instruction manual!!
1) Know how to shoot in Manual mode, You need Manual for expose (unless you know how to do bracketing) understand you light meter
2) Manual focus

After the shooting, we can do some HDR processing during lunch.
“For information on Ruby, click here... (

Or Google it. (Google: Ruby, Arizona, For maps, go to "Ruby near Arivaca, AZ")”

If you go to Ruby on your own, do not get there before 9 am am, some times the chain does not open before 9:15 am

Cost $12 per person
The road: The last 10 or so miles are possible to drive in 2 WD with careful driving, I have done it a few times in a little Honda, but it will be very slow. If dirt roads in bad shape bother you, do not go, if you have a nice car, do not take it. Bring water to drink, a lot of it.

You will need to bring: Water, food, and Toilet Paper(?), and maybe even a camera.

After the shooting, I like to stop at a nice palace next to I-19 and Arivaca Rd for a cool relaxing lunch. (http://www.cowpalacer... (
Note about the Wal-mart parking lot, if you are going to leave your car there and carpool, do not have any item of value left in the car. In fact, if it is a nice car, do not leave it there.

Also the printout below "Group Permit to Enter Ruby, Arizona " & the Tucson Photo Meet-up release statements. Both should be filled out before you get to Ruby, each car should have one printout and each person can fill in there information.
