Tuesday English-Portuguese Conversation in Lisbon

Hello everyone, Olá a todos!

This free, informal event is our weekly meeting and we will alternate between chatting in Portuguese and in English without mixing the languages.

• We aim for a fluid conversation but do our best to include everyone. Beginners may find the Portuguese or English conversation difficult to follow but we’ve all been there, so join and see how you get on!

• We are an open and inclusive group, and the same goes to people's personal choices with regards to the pandemic, so we will respect any choices people have to come in person, and to wear protective equipment, while complying with the current government guidelines.

• We sit outside so there's plenty of air movement which keeps us safe but also keeps us cool, so please dress warmly!

• Check out the announcement of our online meeting as well. It takes place simultaneously with the in-person event. The structured nature of the online meeting makes it ideal for beginners.

Este evento informal e gratuito é o nosso encontro semanal e alternaremos entre conversar em português e inglês sem misturar os idiomas.

• O nosso objetivo é uma conversa fluida, mas fazemos o possível por incluir todos os participantes. Os iniciantes podem achar difícil seguir a conversa em português ou inglês. Todos nós já passámos por isso e conseguimos ultrapassar essa fase inicial mais desconfortável.

• Somos um grupo aberto e inclusivo, o que é válido para todas as escolhas pessoais, nomeadamente as relacionadas com a pandemia de COVID 19. Respeitamos as escolhas e decisões que as pessoas fizerem para vir, nomeadamente no uso de equipamentos de proteção e no respeito e aplicação em conformidade das diretrizes portuguesas e locais atuais relativas à zona da cidade de Lisboa onde nos encontramos.

• Sentamo-nos na esplanada para que haja circulação de ar suficiente, o que nos mantém seguros mas também nos mantém frescos! Assim, por favor, vistam-se calorosamente!
