Shoot1: Spirit of Blackjack Mountain

"They are surviving by a thin thread... perilously close to extinction.".

These horses made the Kiamichi Mountains, with Blackjack Mountain as the backbone, their home for over 170 years. Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, a number of Choctaw and White families (among them the Brame, Carter, Crisp, Helms, LeFlore, Locke, Thurman and Trotter families) owned and preserved these equine treasures.

Seeing and experiencing these equine treasures can be a life-changing experience.
