May 2018 Tulsa Java Developers Meeting
Details
Topic: Home Environmental
Speaker: Andrew Chandler
With the increase of smart devices in the home lets start delving into what will be a multi-presentation topic. We'll interrupt the series periodically to have other topics if we have speakers. For this meetup we will start with sensing temperature. To accomplish this we'll bring out our trusty raspberry PI. I'm still working on details of whether I'll drag an Arduino into the picture or just hang sensors on the raspberry pi I2C and SPI bus. We'll display the value via a Grails website hosted on the PI.
Please be thinking about any topics you might want to hear or that you could present on. Presenting does not require being an expert, but rather a willingness to do some research and gather resources together. I look forward to seeing you all in this brand new year!
- Andrew.

The admin building is straight ahead on the left side of the circle. Enter on the ground floor and walk straight until the corridor bends right. Take the right and then a left in front of the glass doors. You will see stairs ahead of you - climb them. At the top of the stairs you will be at the intersection of 2 corridors. You want to walk straight ahead (South?) - the pond should be on your right side and you will pass a small security office on the left and then the elevators. Take the first hallway on your left after the elevators. Room 4228 is the last classroom on the right hand side of that hall.
