What we're about

Our workouts are designed to help you improve your health, fitness, and nutrition education. Every month we have a 21 day weight loss challenge that pushes us to our limits while providing weekly workouts to support your goals and build a community through our classes. Our teams goal is to motivate those that have not found answers at local gyms by helping each member exceed their personal limits, provide a community that promotes a "judge-free zone", maintain exercise safety, and improve the health of our community.

What is it that you would like from our fitness group?

exercise routines, nutrition advice, mindset training, positive encouragement, community involvement, non fitness meet ups, mixers???

Many of these can be done by creating a mailing list or for me to send out messages through here. So let me know so we can make it worth it to you. But if there is something you're interested in attending we can host it!

Some may be asking: why now and why $2???

our group size is just about 1300 as more people leave (i understand, some are not even here in SD to join, or it just sounded nice to be apart of a fitness group). Although there is not a cost to be a user of meetup there is a cost to hosting the group meetups. and that is right around $160/ year. We also make sure that i pay insurance $240/ year (for your and my benefits) and rental of park facilities is $400/ 3 months.. so that roughly brings our yearly cost to about $1,600/ year. We also like to make upgrades and addition to our equipment each year. 2018 we invested about $2,000 in equipment for our meetups.Out of every $2 donated we receive about $1.40 after the cost of using the payment system. $1 would have been nice but we too large of a % would go to the "wepay" platform and we wouldn't be able to use most of these donations. (they charge a % fee plus a fee per charge).

What about the left overs?

This is the exciting part. Our goal is to not only provide the community with a positive workout environment but we recognize that we can do more. And by having everyone put in a little we can achieve greater things. So at the end of the year when there is money left over we would like to invest the funds into local parks for their health and fitness programs. (soccer, basketball, baseball leagues, etc.) These programs help to keep kids off the streets and doing something fun and affordable for the parents. Most leagues only cost about $30/ child.

Most of us will spend $2 on a candy bar or soda at the checkout of a store. Why not save the calories and invest that into an organization that is willing to make a difference. I hope this clarifies our goal and mission and that you will continue to support and be apart of our team.
